Harlyn is not on Cornwall Council’s Padstow car-park list, and St Merryn Parish Council lists Constantine rather than Harlyn as its car park. Pay on the board at the beach park.

Family and beginner. The school calls it the closest school to Padstow on the safest beginner beach, families, first-timers and returning surfers, with rock pools for whoever is not surfing.

Access & hazards

Met Office Harlyn Bay (Beach): high risk of rips. The school: sheltered, often more manageable than nearby beaches. RNLI 2026 lists include Harlyn (Easter and daily from 2 May).
